2014-10-20 10:34:39Reasons for Track Looses of Overhead Crane

In the inspection work, we often encounter the problem that overhead crane track looses. We will analyze the reasons from following aspects.
 
De-synchrony of cranes for overhead crane
1 Successive brakes of crane wheels on the both sides
Successive brake makes stopping time of crane wheels on both sides have deviation,which causes the bridge torsional pendulum, and in sever cases, the phenomenon of gnawing rail may appear. At this time, crane wheels on the crane track will produce friction along with direction of the main girder perpendicular to the crane track which causes looseness of crane track.
 
2 There is brake on one side, no brake or unobvious brake on the other side for overhead crane.
In this case,the moment crane stops or starts,obvious torsional pendulum of the bridge will appear. At the unobvious braking side, the main girder will swing. Contact of crane wheels rim and track side produces horizontal lateral thrust which causes friction of wheels rim and track causing track looseness. At the same time,the obvious braking side can be the support in the torsional pendulum. On the track,friction will also be produced along the wheel tread direction. If not timely repair, track will gradually looses.
 
Unlevel of bridge for overhead crane
Unlevel of the bridge easily causes the four crane wheels are not on the same plane producing "three legs", etc.when traveling. Crane can "bump", and under sever case, the phenomenon of gnawing rail will appear producing friction along with the direction of wheel tread causing track and platen loose.
 
Wheel problem for overhead crane
1 Wheel lateral deflection. Bridge deformation makes end girder horizontal bending causing wheels horizontal deflection out-of-tolerance or horizontal deflection out-of-tolerance when wheels were installed.
 
2 Wheel vertical deflection. Bridge deformation makes wheels vertical deflection out-of-tolerance. Installing wheels, the same group of wheels should be used and are all slightly to lateral deflection reducing vertical deflection of wheels when the bridge bears the weight.
 
3 Diameter of the two driving wheels are not equal. When the crane travels, right and left speed are different.
 
4 The front and rear wheels travels on the different straight line. Bridge deformation causes span or diagonal excessive deviation making the front and rear wheels travel on the different lines.
